My dress is strapless and flows almost like a ball gown. It has some Lavender trim in it. I want my bridesmaid and maid of honor to coordinate with me without wearing white. What type of dress, first off, will go well with my dress? Halter top or spaghetti strap? I do not want their dresses to be strapless like mine. Also, since my dress will have Lavender trim in it should their entire dress be Lavender?

I got a beautiful round cut solitaire diamond engagement ring from my fiance (white gold). I asked the jeweler’s where we got it, if they could order the matching wedding band. We received the wedding band, and while it is obviously the same “make” as the engagement ring (the ring narrows under the finger, same edges, etc.) the wedding band is thicker than the engagement ring, and it looks a little weird to be. Is it normal for one ring to be thicker than the other? Do I just need to get used to it?

Just a few questions – how long does a wedding planner need to plan a wedding? Is there a specific amount of time the wedding planner should plan the wedding in? How often should the planner meet with the client and over what length of time? Just anything at all about timing and wedding planning would be great. What is the best way to do it? Is there a way to include my mom/stepdad on the invitation while not giving the implication that they funded it? Or is it across-the-board accepted that the non-paying parent just doesn’t get mentioned? Thanks!
