My friend is getting married in 2 years and I am starting a savings account for her wedding (plane ticket, bridesmaid dress, hair, etc) and I need to know about on average how much it is to be a bridesmaid. I’ve already figured in $800 for plane ticket, hotel and food but I completely forgot about dress, hair, makeup, shoes and jewelry! Any help is appreciated
Thank you!

Becoming a wedding planner where to start?
June 17th, 2011What kind of bridesmaid dresses will coordinate well with mine?
June 16th, 2011Obssessed asked:
My dress is strapless and flows almost like a ball gown. It has some Lavender trim in it. I want my bridesmaid and maid of honor to coordinate with me without wearing white. What type of dress, first off, will go well with my dress? Halter top or spaghetti strap? I do not want their dresses to be strapless like mine. Also, since my dress will have Lavender trim in it should their entire dress be Lavender?

I really want to be a wedding planner. How would you suggest i begin my career in this?
June 14th, 2011pinktink asked:
I would really really to be a wedding planner. It is my absolute dream to plan peoples weddings for them and i think it would be a really rewarding job. I don’t have a clue how i would begin a career in wedding planning though! Is there any existing wedding planners out there that could share their experiences of becoming a wedding planner and maybe tell me a bit about the job? If anybody has any advice about how i could become a wedding planner i would be extremely grateful
Thank You.

Should the thickness of the engagement ring and wedding band be the same?
June 14th, 2011Heidi N asked:
I got a beautiful round cut solitaire diamond engagement ring from my fiance (white gold). I asked the jeweler’s where we got it, if they could order the matching wedding band. We received the wedding band, and while it is obviously the same “make” as the engagement ring (the ring narrows under the finger, same edges, etc.) the wedding band is thicker than the engagement ring, and it looks a little weird to be. Is it normal for one ring to be thicker than the other? Do I just need to get used to it?

How long does a wedding planner need to plan a wedding?
June 12th, 2011BTB2211 asked:
I am in the process of developing my own wedding planning business and have got many things worked out except for timing. Just a few questions – how long does a wedding planner need to plan a wedding? Is there a specific amount of time the wedding planner should plan the wedding in? How often should the planner meet with the client and over what length of time? Just anything at all about timing and wedding planning would be great. What is the best way to do it? Also, I am going to be a more budget-friendly planner, not charging heaps so any marketing advice would be helpful too. Anything you know is much appreciated. Thanks!

How should I word my wedding invitation with divorced/remarried parents when only one set of parents is paying?
June 11th, 2011Josie Spruce asked:
My Dad and stepmother are entirely financing the wedding and my mom and stepdad aren’t contributing at all. Is there a way to include my mom/stepdad on the invitation while not giving the implication that they funded it? Or is it across-the-board accepted that the non-paying parent just doesn’t get mentioned? Thanks!
